Is Removing Gluten Really Your Answer

If you have been diagnosed with coeliac disease the answer is a big YES!

What if you have noticed your stomach grumbles, growls, bloats and your bowels respond badly when you eat gluten?

Go and get yourself tested for the Coeliac Gene Test (HLA DQ2 DQ8). This test will confirm or deny the presence of the coeliac gene and the possibility of coeliac disease developing in your body.
(Some GPs will run this test, others don't. I can provide you with a non-medicare pathology form and this test will cost $150).
What if you get the gene test results and they are negative but you still experience symptoms after eating gluten?
Clean up your diet, particularly your food combinations.
Remove gluten for a period of time and heal your gut.
When you reintroduce gluten, avoid over-exposure (a rotation diet is the best way of doing this).
Yes Australia does have one of the most toxic modified wheat grain in the world so if you are going to eat gluten (and when you reintroduce it after healing your gut):-
Eat organic gluten,
Have you tried ancient spelt grain?
Can you tolerate flat bread over risen bread? Is it the yeast causing bacteria overgrowth, leading to bloating, diarrhea?
Are you simply not getting enough nutrients in your diet?
Is it your food combinations causing the problem or not enough hydrochloric acid in your stomach?
Often people who remove gluten enjoy a symptom free period but over time find they start reacting to other foods. The end result is they eat a very restrictive diet. Food is one of the great pleasures of life to be enjoyed!
